Georgetown Winery, a beautiful store nestled on S Main Street, offers much more than just wine. They have wine related gifts, teas, and a huge selection of balsamic vinegars and olive oils. So you don’t have to love wine to enjoy it here. But it helps.
Now here is what I came here for. They have an incredible selection of balsamic vinegars, as well as a wall of olive oils. All are available to taste. And believe me, you won’t be sorry. There are some incredible flavors! The chipotle olive oil, and maple balsamic were my pics for the day. (With a huge list of future ones to bring home!)
But if you are here to enjoy the wine, and aren’t sure what you’re looking for, the friendly staff will help you select just the right wine for tasting. And their wines are unique and striking. You may want to linger a bit.
It’s a lovely place for a glass with friends, or even alone with a book. You can buy a single glass, or a tasting flight. They also offer cheese trays and other assorted snacks.
And if you want to bring the experience home with you, they have a great wine club!
Coming through the door is like leaving the world behind and entering something from a more elegant era. And with all they have to offer, it’s worth taking time to take your time.
