Tony and Luigi’s

Tony and Luigi’s Restaurante

For a delightful culinary experience, Tony and Luigi’s Italian Mediterranean Restaurante in Georgetown, Texas, is a great choice.  Tony and Luigi’s opened in 2008 and features traditional classic favorites and original new dishes.

We needed a nice restaurant for a birthday dinner, and this was a great choice! The service was friendly and fast…and the food= divine.  The homemade rolls come out piping hot, and of course, you can’t eat just one.  No way!

Impossible to Eat Just One!

Our dinner fare included the following:

  • Chicken Parmesan
  • Spinach Salad
  • Cesar Salad
  • Wine.

It was absolutely delicious–no doggie bag necessary.🐕

Chicken Parmesan

Moscato for the win!

The server brought out the dessert cart, but we were waaaaay to full (Did I mention the rolls?).  Fun to look!

Tony and Luigi’s A Frank Sinatra Tribute entertains Thursdays from 6:00-9:00 PM (reservations recommended). The website notes Dine-in, Curbside, and Delivery options.  Be sure to call or check the website for possible changes: http://tonyandluigistx.com

If there are any negatives, it might be that the acoustics are not great, so it might be a little loud…a booth is best.

I would highly recommend Tony and Luigi’s. We’ve been going there for years, and it never disappoints.

The Baked Bear in Georgetown

If you like ice cream and cookies (and who doesn’t?), you need to visit The Baked Bear on Georgetown Square!

They offer made to order ice cream sandwiches with freshly baked cookies, and the creamiest, most delectable ice cream! And when I say made to order, I mean you select the cookies (chocolate chip on top, gooey cake cookie on bottom for the win!), you pick the ice cream, and you can even have the whole thing rolled in extra toppings!

…and they are HUGE!!

…and I do mean HUGE!

If you’re not up to that much, you can order a serving of one cookie (ask for it warm. You can thank me later), with a heaping scoop of ice cream in a cup.

It’s like a little cup of being a kid again!

It’s still a very generous serving, I promise you…and worth every decadent bite.

These were for sharing, I swear!

If all that isn’t enough, you can get JUST cookies! I say “just” in the nicest way possible, because they are the yummiest monster sized cookies!

There are vegan, and gluten free options as well! So there is a little something for everyone!

And they offer excellent life lessons, like this!

The Baked Bear is located at 109 East 7th Street in Georgetown.

It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

There is no better way to kick off the holiday season than at an old fashioned town square tree lighting ceremony.

Georgetown, Texas puts on a great show to usher in the Christmas spirit like nowhere else.

Just as you would expect, there is music, hot cocoa, fun things for the kids. Even the shops stay open late in case you want to start on your shopping early.

If you catch it early enough, you could score a great table at Gumbo’s to watch the event from the balcony! (Though those spaces go fast!)

People come from all over to experience this impressive show. And it really is quite breathtaking. You will want to put it on your calendar year after year.

The 2018 Georgetown Lighting of the Square is November 23 starting at 5:30pm. Lights go on when it gets dark, but show up early and enjoy the fun!

And if you decide you want to enjoy this event every year, but need a house nearby, call me! I would love to help you find your perfect home for the holidays (and all the other days, too)
